Bocci Series 73 Semi Rigid Pendant Light

The Semi-Rigid suspension pendants are designed for flexible compositions and can be arranged horizontally by suspending them from alternate swag points positioned away from the canopy. In the 73 series, the Semi-Rigid option uses non-adjustable hardware, allowing the canopy to be installed first while each pendant is later “plugged in.” Drop lengths are predetermined by the client.

The 73 series is made by blowing molten glass into a folded, heat-resistant ceramic fabric vessel. As it expands, the glass forms textures reminiscent of soft textile, which then cools into a rigid, sculptural shape. The series includes several versions: Random, Semi-Rigid, Stem, Table Lights, Armature, and Tree.

Bocci is a Vancouver- and Berlin-based design studio led by Omer Arbel, whose work moves fluidly between architecture, sculpture, and design, with a strong focus on exploring light as a material.
